Been working a lot on Wood Carving Machine Tips. I'm taking it to a different level and trying to bring in a larger more diverse audiance. The site has lagged in the SERPs and so there's a ton of work that needs to be done to get it back on top. Part of the problem there is that there's been a industry wide slump due to the economy. My hope is that by expanding the niche, I hope to improve my conversion.
Also register two more websites with a couple more in the making. I'm long on ideas but short on energy to make them happen. I had tried to convince my mentor that we should work together on a project or two but he declined.
As always, if you think of anything I might be interested in, please let me know. Same for ideas to improve my existing properties.
Work continues to blossom for me as well. June was somewhat slow but that was ok as I used that time to work on my websites. July was a banner month for Mr-Fixit and Matt-Helps-Macs. I was able to rake in enough cash to pay all my tax bills, etc and still put some money in the bank. It's been such a long time since I've been able to see the bank balance grow instead of shrink so I'm mighty grateful. Thinks are so busy that I had to change my web page for Mr-Fixit and decline all new work.
I landed a gig with another realtor here in the valley that moves lower priced properties - she is doing great business and that has kept me on the run working for her and the folks she sells to.
Website traffic is down just a bit but the conversion rate has gone thru the floor. People just aren't buying and that has made for hard work trying to keep that leg of the business stool intact. I have three more sites coming online but they will need months to age and start generating cash. My hopes are that they will be in place and getting traffic by the holiday season. Time will tell, right?
